Celtics Take 2-0 Lead in NBA Finals, Kristaps Porzingis Out for Game 3

Boston Dominates Mavericks in Game 2

The Boston Celtics extended their lead to 2-0 in the NBA Finals with a convincing 106-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Porzingis Injury Hampering Mavericks

The Mavericks faced a major setback in Game 2 with the absence of their star forward, Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis, who was nursing a calf injury, was ruled out for the game, leaving a significant void in Dallas' lineup.

Despite Porzingis' absence, the Celtics built a 20-point lead in the first half and never relinquished it. Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 28 points, while Jaylen Brown added 24. Luka Dončić paced the Mavericks with 26 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Boston's dominant performance.
